Douglas North
House of Keys General Election
22 September 2016
I am standing for election to serve as your MHK for Douglas North.  Having represented you in the House of Keys for the past 15 months I have the vital experience that will let me get straight to work for you.
When standing for the By Election in 2015 I was clear that I wanted to stand up and be counted, be a catalyst for change for the better and be judged on my performance.
Since being elected I have immersed myself in learning the present process of Government and used that to successfully deliver an important motion for the Island.
Through my work in DEFA I have brought through Tynwald the Island's first ever strategy on tackling climate change.  Another important role has been in the Department of Health where I have worked hard to improve effectiveness and raise the staff morale through supporting the great people who work in our health service.
The next Government that forms after the Election will face many challenges.  It will require strong leadership, with the resolve to take tough decisions and with clear goals that will allow us all to enjoy living on the Isle of Man.
I will be calling at every home in the constituency in the run up to the Election and I hope to get to speak to you personally.  I will never forget that I work for you and that your views matter to me.
If you wish to contact me I would be delighted to hear your views.  My contact details are:
